MIDDLEBORO, MA – August 5, 2026 – Dorchester Canopies LLC – an affiliate of Dorchester Awning Company LLC, New England’s premier providers of custom awnings and shade solutions for over 125 years, today announced it has acquired the Commercial Canopy and Stationary Business of KE Outdoor Design based in Middlebury, Vermont.
The acquired business is focused on hanger-rod awning canopies, standing seam awnings, shutter, sail shades and other structural and fabric-based awnings that serves the commercial and residential markets through direct sales and thru a dealer network.
It focuses on the commercial real estate, hospitality, restaurant, malls, entertainment, event venues and residential markets. The acquisition strengthens Dorchester Canopies’ position in structural and commercial awning space and expands its ability to deliver innovative shade solutions to customers nationwide thru a dealer network.
The acquired business will continue to operate its manufacturing and distribution facility in Middlebury, Vermont but will operate under the Dorchester Canopies LLC name and brand. Its corporate headquarters will continue to be located in Middleboro, Massachusetts.
